Pioneer Prep Leadership Institute is a three-day summer campus experience designed for college-focused African American high school students in the state of Colorado to have a dynamic learning opportunity on the University of Denver campus.
During the Pioneer Prep Leadership Institute, participants will be introduced to various topics focused on college access, navigating the college search and application process, career planning, and cultural awareness though a series of speakers and activities. In addition, attendees will gain valuable insight on what it is like to live and attend classes on a college campus, as well as interact with new and different people.
This is an exciting and dynamic learning opportunity for students who are excelling leaders in their school or communities and desire additional guidance as they pursue their future endeavors. We invite and encourage students who are highly motivated and dedicated to making an impact in their communities or society as a whole to apply to attend the Pioneer Prep Leadership Institute.
Applications available online at www.du.edu/admissions/pioneerprep<http://www.du.edu/admissions/pioneerprep> beginning April 1, 2010.

Think about this: Since 1973, more than 130 people have been released from the death row penalty due to reasonable doubt and questionable evidence. How many more deserve to be released and never will be? Come see the drama unfold in Hinkley’s spring play, “Twelve Angry Jurors” March 18th, 19th, and 20th at 7pm. Tickets are 5 dollars for students and 7 dollars for adults.
Outdoor Club meets this Thursday in room #2305. See Mr. Bergen about the upcoming trip to Garden of the Gods State Park if you are interested.
